Jaguar Engraved Whiskey Glass
Not every legend flies high and fast. Some fly low, fast, and deadly.
The SEPECAT Jaguar—known proudly in Indian service as Shamsher—is one such aircraft. The Jaguar Engraved Whiskey Glass pays tribute to the strike fighter that has quietly carried the weight of India’s deep-strike capability for decades.
Precision-engraved in clean technical line art, this glass captures the Jaguar’s purposeful stance—long fuselage, swept wings, and unmistakable low-level attack profile.
Why the Jaguar is legendary in India
-
Chosen for one mission: strike
Inducted into the Indian Air Force in the late 1970s, the Jaguar was selected for its ability to penetrate deep into enemy territory at low altitude and high speed. While other fighters chased air superiority, the Jaguar trained relentlessly for one job—hitting high-value targets and coming back. -
Built in India, mastered in India
The Jaguar became one of the earliest combat aircraft to be licence-built by Hindustan Aeronautics Limited, making it a cornerstone of India’s growing aerospace ecosystem. Over time, Indian engineers upgraded avionics, navigation, weapons, and engines—proving the aircraft could evolve with changing threats. -
The pilot’s strike aircraft
Among IAF crews, the Jaguar earned respect for its stability at low altitude. Flying “on the deck” at treetop height, often at night and in poor weather, Jaguar pilots trained to deliver precision strikes where radar coverage was weakest. It was demanding flying—calm, disciplined, and unforgiving of mistakes. -
From Cold War to modern conflicts
Few aircraft anywhere in the world have served across so many eras. The Jaguar has remained operational through geopolitical shifts, wars, and technological revolutions—updated continuously to stay relevant well into the 21st century. -
A platform that refused to retire quietly
While many expected the Jaguar to phase out early, India invested in deep upgrade programs, extending its service life far beyond original expectations. This longevity turned the Jaguar into a symbol of adaptability and resilience, rather than obsolescence. -
The unsung backbone
It rarely stole headlines like air-dominance fighters—but when planners needed a reliable, accurate strike platform, the Jaguar was always in the briefing room. Among defence analysts, it is often described as the aircraft that does the hard work without applause.

The Making
Each Glass Collection concept starts with procuring detailed blueprints of the design and then designing the cuts on Adobe Illustrator. These drawings are then passed on to the laser which then cuts fine lines on the glass. These are then hand engraved again to a shimmering finish with brilliant clarity.
