The Dogra Regiment Engraved Whiskey Glass is a tribute to one of India's oldest and most decorated infantry regiments, honouring the generations of soldiers who have upheld its proud traditions with exceptional valour.
Expertly laser engraved with the Dogra Regiment insignia, this premium whiskey glass celebrates a regiment whose story is deeply intertwined with the history of the Indian Army itself.
The Dogra Regiment traces its origins to 1877, when the first Dogra battalions were raised under the British Indian Army. Recruited primarily from the hardy hill communities of Jammu, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, and northern India, Dogra soldiers quickly earned a reputation for their resilience, discipline, and unwavering fighting spirit.
Following India's Independence in 1947, the regiment became an integral part of the Indian Army, carrying forward a legacy built over generations while proudly serving the newly independent nation.
The Dogra Regiment has served with distinction in nearly every major conflict involving India.
During the First and Second World Wars, Dogra battalions fought in Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Southeast Asia, earning numerous battle honours for their courage under fire.
After Independence, the regiment played a vital role in the 1947–48 Indo-Pak War, helping defend Jammu and Kashmir during the earliest days of the conflict.
Dogra battalions also distinguished themselves during the 1962 Sino-Indian War, the 1965 Indo-Pak War, and the 1971 Bangladesh Liberation War, where they demonstrated exceptional determination and professionalism in some of the most demanding combat conditions.
More recently, the regiment has served with honour during the Kargil War, counter-insurgency operations, United Nations peacekeeping missions, and high-altitude deployments along India's northern borders.
The Dogra Regiment's motto, "Kartavya Nishtha" (Duty with Devotion), reflects the values that have guided its soldiers for generations.
Its battalions have earned numerous gallantry awards, including Param Vir Chakras, Maha Vir Chakras, Vir Chakras, and many other decorations for acts of extraordinary bravery. Every honour reflects the regiment's unwavering commitment to mission, comradeship, and the defence of the nation.
The regiment has also produced distinguished military leaders whose service has shaped the Indian Army over decades.
The insignia engraved on this glass is more than a military emblem.
It represents generations of soldiers known for their quiet professionalism, steadfast loyalty, and determination to accomplish the mission regardless of hardship. Whether deployed in the icy Himalayas, dense forests, deserts, or peacekeeping operations overseas, Dogra soldiers have consistently demonstrated the values that define the Indian Army.
This premium whiskey glass reflects the character of the Dogra Regiment—honourable, resilient, and timeless.
For nearly a century and a half, the Dogra Regiment has stood wherever duty called.
Its soldiers have crossed mountains, defended borders, fought in distant lands, and safeguarded India's sovereignty with courage and quiet determination.
This engraved whiskey glass is more than premium drinkware—it is a tribute to one of the Indian Army's most respected infantry regiments and the generations of officers and soldiers who have lived by the principle of Duty with Devotion.
Raise a glass to a regiment whose legacy continues to inspire the Indian Army and the nation it serves.
